About the Photographer

I was born in Montréal, but grew up in the Pacific Northwest of the US, living in both Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. I moved back to Montréal after university and have called it home since (if you ignore the brief year stint I lived in Malibu, California).

I've been a photographer for thirteen years, I photographed my first wedding when I was only eighteen years old. Two years after, I had one of my busiest wedding seasons photographing over twenty weddings in one summer.

Since moving to Montréal, I branched out into a mix of commercial photography work for businesses like salons, restaurants, night clubs, brand products, marketing agencies and more. All while continuing to do portraits like headshots, engagements, weddings, and model portfolio sessions. In recent years, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with Milan Pole Dance Studio and now love the opportunity to take photos of artistic movement like yoga, pole dancing, acrobatics and aerial circus apparatus performers.

Ever since my parents got me a little point and shoot camera when I was in grade school I haven't been able to stop photographing everything. Seeing a moment; an interaction, a view, the subject catching the right light, it's the act of taking a photo in that moment that I truly enjoy. And then getting to share that moment captured of people, places, lovers, friends, and seeing the happiness that can come to someone when they feel they've been well captured, in a way that represents their true self.

It might sound cheesy, but for me the process truly is the point and prize of it all. Getting to meet new people, explore new places, see a piece of people's hearts and love and capturing photos of their memories makes my heart happy!
